Our service is part of the endoscopic clinical unit; It is made up of pulmonologists, thoracic surgeons, radiologists specialized in pulmonary pathology and pathologists specialized in lung. We treat patients with respiratory diseases, among which the most frequent are respiratory infections, chronic obstructive disease (COPD), silicosis (continuous inhalation of silica particles, usually occurs in the workplace), asthma, fibrosis and lung cancer. We perform endoscopic procedures, bronchoscopies (more than 60 per month) and percutaneous procedures, which consist of taking samples with needles through the chest, fluids from the pleura and pleural biopsy samples. Our tuberculosis program is the second largest in Bogotá.
