Delirium in Intensive Care Unit: Exploratory study of tracking patterns and visual attention through Eye-tracking Technology.

Project Details

Description

Inpatient delirium is a strong independent predictor of mortality, longer length of hospital stay, subsequent hospitalizations, long-term cognitive decline, and cost of health care. In addition to validated tools such as CAM-ICU, alternative strategies based on the recording of saccadic eye movements with eye-tracking technologies (ETT) are currently being considered for the evaluation of delirium that can increase the accuracy and diagnostic capacity, with incipient results in this condition.
