Cerebrovascular Accident is the second leading cause of death and the leading cause of long-term disability worldwide. In 1990 the risk of suffering a stroke was 22.8%, in 2016 it increased to 24.9%. The above establishes that every year in the world 15 million people suffer a stroke (5 million cause deaths and 5 million disabilities) representing a burden of 85% worldwide.
To implement the institutional registry of patients with diagnoses of cerebrovascular disease.
The registry will serve as input to develop quality standards and measurement of indicators focused on the care of patients with stroke, provide validated information to the institution's health personnel and generate support in different investigative processes that are developed in the future.
