Description
Considering that sarcopenia in individuals with heart failure is a prognostic indicator and a critical determinant in the pathophysiology and progression of this disease, it becomes important to evaluate the reduction in muscle strength and mass as part of an established approach for diagnosis and follow-up.
Objective
To describe the patterns of change in body composition parameters in a cohort of patients with chronic heart failure in the first stage of decompensation.
