Transverse abdominal release (ART) – Clinical characteristics, postoperative results and quality of life in patients operated on in a highly complex hospital

Project Details

Description

Complex defects of the abdominal wall are important conditions with high morbidity, leading to deterioration of the patient's physical condition and quality of life. In the last decade the paradigm of abdominal wall reconstruction has changed due to the formation of experienced and excellent groups, improving clinical outcomes after surgery.
This study aims to describe the postoperative outcomes and quality of life in patients undergoing transverse abdominal artery release (ART) abdominal wall reconstruction in a hospital of high level of complexity between January 2014 and February 2022.
