N2 - Objective The purpose of the study is to describe our experience and results obtained in patients undergoing laparoscopic pyeloplasty in the last 5 years. Materials and methods Observational study of patients undergoing laparoscopic pyeloplasty in Hospital Universitario Mayor, since October 2010 to March 2015. Analyzed variables were: surgical indication, age, gender, laterality, surgical time, hospitalization time, presence or absence of segmental vessel, complications and intraoperative bleeding. Results During the study period, 44 patients underwent to laparoscopic pyeloplasty, with Anderson-Hynes technique, 27 were men and 17 were women with a mean age of 34.8 years. Segmental vessel as extrinsic cause of stricture was present in 45.4% and 54.5% remaining, were because an intrinsic obstruction. Mean operating time was 192 minutes, mean intraoperative bleeding 49 cc and mean hospitalization time was 1.27 days. There were no conversions to open surgery or transfusion requirement. The succes of the procedure was a 100%, based on patients that do not required reintervention, because of ureteropelvic re-narrowing, at 6 months postoperatively. In 6 (13.6%) patients a complication was detected and most were classified as stage II, according to the Clavien classification. Conclusions Laparoscopic pyeloplasty is a safe and effective procedure for the treatment of the ureteropelvic junction obstruction in our institution, with a low frequency of complications, which were classified as minor (Clavien I-II), with no requirement of re intervention in the first 6 months postoperative.
